Accuracy beats speed
With typing jobs online it is easy to assume the fastest typist wins. In practice the employer checks your batch against the source, and one wrong price or a misspelt brand can make the whole batch unusable for them. Treat each task like this:
- Copy text exactly, including accents and symbols. “Café Noir” is not “Cafe Noir”.
- Keep units and currencies as instructed: if the sample says
12.50, do not write$12.5. - Leave a cell blank or write
N/A(whichever the brief says) when information is missing. Never guess. - Do a final pass reading the source and your sheet side by side.
Reading the sample row
Good data entry briefs show one completed row. It is the most important part of the task. For a product-capture task it might look like this:

From that single row you know: column order, lowercase headers, price without a currency symbol and with two decimals, size written without spaces, stock as “yes/no” rather than “In stock”, and the full URL. Match all of it.

- Browse the Data entry category. Filter the feed to Data entry and read the card: number of rows or items, estimated time, reward and the output format.
- Study the sample row. Most briefs include one finished example. Match its column order, spelling, capitalisation and units exactly.
- Do the batch, then check it. Enter the data, then re-read every row against the source before submitting. A two-minute check saves a rejection.
- Submit in the requested format. Paste the rows as a text answer, share a spreadsheet link or upload a file (up to 20 MB), whichever the task asks for.
- Get approved and cash out. After approval the reward moves to your balance. Withdraw in USDT once you have $5 or more.

How to spot fake data entry jobs
Data entry is the most imitated job in online scams, because it sounds easy and needs no skills. Walk away from any offer that:
- Asks for a registration fee, a “refundable deposit” or payment for software or training.
- Promises a fixed high weekly income for a few hours of typing.
- Sends you a cheque or crypto and asks you to send part of it back.
- Moves you to a private chat and asks for ID photos or bank logins early on.
- Pays only after you “recruit” others or complete a paid upgrade.

Frequently asked questions
Do online data entry jobs from home require a fee?
Genuine ones never do. On Tasklify joining is free and no task may ask you to pay for software, training or a “registration deposit”. If anyone asks for money before you can start typing, treat it as a scam.
How fast do I need to type?
Speed helps but it is not what gets you paid. Employers approve accurate work and reject sloppy work, so a careful 35 words per minute beats a careless 80.
Do I need Excel?
No. A free Google account with Google Sheets, or LibreOffice, covers every spreadsheet task. Many data entry tasks only need a text answer pasted into the submission box.
Can I do data entry on my phone?
Short lookups and image tagging work fine on a phone. Longer spreadsheet batches are much easier on a laptop or desktop, and some employers target desktop only for that reason.
What happens if I make a mistake?
If the employer spots errors they can request changes once, and you fix and resubmit before the deadline. Serious or repeated errors lead to rejection, which lowers your approval rate.
