2. Steps to reproduce: numbered, starting from a URL. 1. Open /shop. 2. Add “Canvas tote” to basket. 3. Enter SAVE10 and click Apply.
3. Expected result: “Total drops by 10%.”
4. Actual result: “Green ‘Code applied’ message appears, total stays £24.00.”
5. Environment: device, operating system, browser and version. “Pixel 7, Android 14, Chrome 128.”
6. Evidence: screenshot or recording timestamp, e.g. “see recording 0:42.”

Mistakes that lead to rejection

• Testing the wrong page, or on a device the task did not ask for.
• Vague reports: “checkout is buggy” with no steps or screenshot.
• Recordings that start halfway through the flow, so the employer cannot see how you got there.
• Copying the same feedback into several tests, or inventing problems.
• Using fake personal data when the task asked for your real email to confirm sign-up.
